In a dwindled shipyard, people make their living from the remnants of salvaged ships. Anna, a decadent prostitute, has been waiting for years for a ship to bring in the cuckoo clock. A cuckoo does indeed arrive, but is taken by the foreman. Minas, a rather naïve person who yearns to go in Anna’s cabin as well, against all odds steals the cuckoo and delivers it to her.

Soon, a deeply human relationship emerges between them. But filming is about to end. Their separation is inevitable .

During a trip to a remote village near Agrafa, in order to deliver insulin to a little girl suffering from type I diabetes, his car breaks down. He has to spend the night in the woods while waiting for roadside assistance. His phobias and his concern to deliver the medicine will push his psychological capacities to the limit. In the end he manages to leave.

Two actors improvise on their roles, commenting on the script that is a free adaptation of “The Double” by Dostoyevsky and register their own fantasies on film.

The film engages in the study of the Sisyphean element of erotic time. Starting with a painting by Escher with stairs where figures are climbing up or down without ever crossing paths, the man of the film is wandering, silently falling in love, taken captive, absolved, freed, searches his somatic self, remains unaffected by carnal pleasure, is taken over by lack of satisfaction. His actions, as well as the actions of the heroin – love interest are implemented through a relationship of pointing and counterpointing with the dolls-figures that mirror a part of their soul.
